If anyone has something they would like drawn just add a comment here! PLEASE know exactly what you want! I'm not a mind reader. If you give me a generalization like "Make a picture with Batman and a dog in it" you probably will not be getting your request. You MUST know what you want to include. That means characters (oc or other) and what they are doing. Are they fighting? Who are they fighting? Why are they fighting? Who is winning? Who is the bad guy/ good guy? Are they hanging out? Where are they hanging out? What mood are they in? Are they running? Who are they running from? Why are they running? Do you see a pattern? I hope this little outline helps.


It may take awhile but I will get to all of them depending on how many I have at the time. In fact, I will put up a waiting list so you guys have an idea of when your requests will be done. PLZ TELL ME if I have promised you a pic and you are not included on the list; I will add you (I've had so many I can't remember them all. Sorry!)

These are some things I WILL NOT DO! Anything having to do with WEIRD FETISHES (seriously people, get a grip and keep that stuff to yourself), TWILIGHT (I just can't do it, I can't), SPARKLY DOGS (there's a million of em out there, does this sight really need one more from me?), YAOI/ HENTAI/ PORN (I don't mind a hint of sexuality people but I don't want to hear about your weird ass fantasies about the incredible Hulk and Hotdog princess trying to make little green hotdog roid user babies), EXCESSIVE GORE/ HORROR SCENES (... *sigh*  kid you not there are some pretty sick f**ks out there, and yes I have gotten some pretty bad requests, I'm not going to draw Wolverine ripping a baby out of Jeans womb while Cyclops rips out his throat..... I'm really not making this up). I'm sure there are some other things that I'm gonna have to add to this list so for now I'm gonna say ANYTHING I DON'T LIKE I'M NOT GOING TO DO. So if you're really not sure if your request is okay, ASK. If you're just gonna watch me for the request check with me to see if your request is okay. Cuz from here on out, if I don't like it I'm gonna give you a straight up NO.

So a couple weeks ago  I was way sick and was pretty much bed ridden. I finally decided to look through my NetFlix (which I never really used) and found a TON of anime. I honestly have not watched anime in at least four years. I used to watch it a lot and finally got burnt out on it cuz it seemed everything that was available to me at the time was boring and cliche (what those shows were I don't remember but I remember the reason I stopped watching it). This week I completely went on an ANIME BINGE.  So I decided to start briefly reviewing some of the anime I've finished.



OUT OF FIVE STARS



CLAYMORE - 2007 - 26 Episodes- The story follows the journey of  a Claymore, a half human half yoki, Claire. Claymores are created by The Organization to rid the world of monsters called yoki who terrorize the human race. Most of these yoki's can only be defeated by claymores because of how powerful they are. The claymores are generally viewed as monsters by people even though they try to help them but one boy Raki befriends Claire after she saved him from a yoki that killed the rest of his family. As the story progresses some of the members grow suspecious of The Organizations plans and the strange appearances of stronger yoki's called Awakened Beings that are really claymores that have turned into yoki. This show is what really set off everything. I freaking LOVED this show. Great animation, good storyline, likable characters. This show didn't care who died. They'd build up someone's back story and make you like them then totally kill em. Which. Was. Awesome. Nobody ever does that. I'm a big fan of stories killing off characters. Like when I played Final Fantasy VII for the first time and they killed off Aeris and I was holding my breath til the end seeing if she'd come back and at the end I was finally like "That's right Aeris. You stay dead!" The ONLY thing that almost ruined this show for me was Raki. I HATED Raki. He was soooooo annoying! Constantly crying and acting like a little baby. I thought they'd kill him off the first episode. I was praying for it! Another thing that kinda bothered me was the ending. Not entirely satisfying but ok. On the 2nd to last episode I was asking myself how on earth they were going to wrap everything up. Sadly, after four years I don't think they'll pick up the series again. If it is it will probably be by a different animation company and I am resistant to change.  FIVE STARS!

TRIGUN - 1997 - 26 Episodes - Vash the Stampede is a lone gunman who reeks havoc where ever he goes. He has a 6,000,000 double dollar bounty on his head and there is no shortage of people trying to collect on it. In order to minimize damage made by Vash, two employees from the Bernadelli Insurance Company. As he travels from town to town he tries to use non lethal force to stop criminals terrorizing the locals mainly caused by a bandits plans trying to capture Vash. I know this is kind of an old one but I had only seen a few episodes of it before and just wanted to finish it. This space western was funny and light at first and in the later episodes lost it lighter tone but not everything was death and gloom. Fun concept, quirky characters, funny mishaps. I guess he turns out to be a space plant? They lost me a little at the end....
THREE STARS

XENO SAGA - 2006 - 13 Episodes - Um....I don't even know where to start here. I guess this robot Cosmos is a robot or something made by this government. This overly sensitive doctor chick is put in charge of all the robots that help with the was. They're attacked by someone, maybe another nation, not really sure. They escape, meet up with some pirates and other stuff happens I guess. Honestly? Could not finish it. I had heard many people liked this series. I don't know if that was more about the video game (which I never played) or the anime. I got through 5 and a half episodes and couldn't sit through anymore. 90's animation, annoying characters, unrealistic personalities, and really random episodes trying to convince you they had a storyline. When I say unrealistic personalities I mean if you are on a huge military ship that has basically the most crucial assignment in the entire fleet, the government is NOT going to put up with your BS feelings and wait for you to get your shit together in order to use military weapons. In the last episode I watched the story completely changed when they went to some dream world and I just turned it off. ONE STAR....


GUNSLINGER GIRL - 2007 - 28 Episodes - This story centered around the Italian government and their experiments regarding cyborg children. Really liked the concept of this. Thought it was awesome that little girls could kick the crap out of people while still acting like children. I wish they would have really expanded on this idea though. It didn't really have a clear storyline the first season and focused more on the girls; their back stories and everyday lives at the base. While the second season had a clearer story the animation was not as sharp. They also tweaked the personalities of everyone. In the first season the handlers had a crueler tone to them and the disposition of the girls was more depressing. Both were lightened up in the second. Wish they would have had more fighting or jobs and tried to work more of the girls stories around the main story line. Think that would have made it better.  The whole time it felt like the cyborgs were going to question they're objectives and begin to rebel, instead it went completely the opposite way where they strive to please they're handlers no matter what. Annoying. Oh well. FOUR STARS!

THE LAST EXILE -2003 - 26 Episodes - I'll try to make this overview as brief as possible only because it seems like there was a ton of side stuff in this show. Two carriers flying these ships called vans find themselves with a job to deliver this little girl to a notorious ship in the middle of a huge war. They decide to stay with the girl on the ship and discover who really is behind the war. With the help of the war ships crew they set out to take down this force clouded in mystery. This show was cool enough. The animation was great! Loved the aerial scenes and the whole feel that you were really in the sky! Unfortunately the entire time I was watching this series I was really waiting for that WOW moment and there never was one. Wasn't really attached to the characters. Wasn't terribly interested in the story. It was just....okay. Enjoyable but nothing I'd really think too much about. THREE STARS

COWBOY BEBOP: THE MOVIE - 2001 - I have always loved Cowboy Bebop. Its an amazing show and this movie lives up that. It incorporates this awesome cross cultured world. A complete mesh from a number of culture: America, Japan, India, etc. The characters are awesome. There is a great balance of different personalities, underlying feelings, and secrets of their past lives. The fight scenes are fantastic! I'm always impressed with the animation and the camera angles and this movie did not disappoint. FIVE STARS!

FLCL/ FURI KURI/ FOOLY COOLY - 2001 - 6 Episodes - THE GREATEST ANIME OF. ALL. TIME. I'm not entirely sure how many times I've watched this series. I watched it when it first came out and I still absolutely LOVE this show! The story revolves around Naota who lives in the small town of Mabase where nothing ever happens. That is until the alien Haruko Haruhara arrives and first introduces herself by running Naota over with her vespa. As a result Naota begins to produce giant robots from his head whenever he is stressed. To add to his aggrevation, Haruku is hired as a maid by his pervy father. Haruko is really using Naota in her search for Anamsk, a robot pirate. This pits her a against Medical Mechanica, a company that is trying to take over the world, and Amarao, a government agent who believes that Medical Mechanica is trying to take over the world. Confusing, I know. Ultimately tho, this show is a coming of age story. Through all of this Naota matures and is better in expressing his feelings by the end. Fantastic animation. Great characters. Phenomenal art. Very funny. Not the most original idea but the way they present it is ingenious. While only running six episodes in length, it has easily made its mark in the anime world. I know this show isn't for everyone but to me there has not been a greater anime to date. I've talked to a number of people about this show and the number one thing they bring up is the storyline. Its kind of hard to follow at points. I think most people won't get everything til the last episode and finally go "ohhhhh...." The way the music is placed makes it seem like something is constantly going on and I think most people watching it are looking for something that's going on but aren't really sure what it is. There's a lot to figure out in this show but I wouldn't worry to much about it. Its still really fun to watch! TEN STARS!!!!!

DURARARA! - So this show is about a kid from a small town in Japan and decides to go to school in Tokyo at the request of his best friend who quickly shows him the ends and outs of the city; good and bad. He's soon caught up in all kinds of underground scenes and tries to sort out the mess of information he knows. It starts off very intriguing and you are easily caught up in it. That's what really keeps you watching this. They start to raise question after question until it builds up to this huge climax with a satisfactory denouement. What was really disappointing about this show tho was that it left soooo many dead ends. It could have gone some AWESOME places with the story line and, for whatever reason, they just said screw it. Especially with Celty's story. In the middle of the season somebody just decided they didn't care about her quest anymore and completely dropped the ball. Grrr! And for that this show get a deduction in rank. FOUR STARS!

DAKKOIDA?! 2003 - 12 Episodes- Its the story of Suzuo Sakurazaki, an easy goining, innocent, student in his early 20's trying to get by in the big city. In the process of job hunting he is approached by Tanpopo, a tween age girl that works for the Imbicile Toy Company and she's an alien... Her job is to test a suite that is to be used as a weapon that will potentially be bought by the Galaxy federation. He thinks a toy and accepts the job. He then has to fight a series of villains released by the Galaxy Federation to test the capabilities of the suit. The show kinda pokes fun at the idea that heroes and villains can't be recognized without there masks on and the way they do this is by having them all be neighbors. I understand that this anime wasn't really well received, probably because of how in your face ridiculous it is.. It plays on some of the bigger cliches of the anime world (giant robots, scantily clad women, perverted old men, every single girl in the show liking the main male character no matter how underage they are, etc) but it didn't have that deeper element that people seem to emerse themselves in. Regardless, I thought it was kinda funny, like....chuckle funny I guess. It didn't have a complicated story and they didn't at all focus at all on any of the characters backgrounds. All in all it was just a stupidly fun show. THREE STARS

That's it! I'll still trying to catch up on all the anime I've missed over the years. I know that not everyone is going to agree with me but its just my opinion. If I've given good overviews of some of the shows you liked or disliked its a bit easier to pick out shows you might want to watch or just skip.
